New York Trip Day 6
Day 6: 3/18 Friday
Today is the day when we don't have to wake up early! It's wonderful =D I had a great and free breakfast with the voucher from YMCA. We are visiting Flushing this morning. Flushing is the second Chinatown, like Alhambra here in Los Angeles. I arrived earlier, so I walked down the "town" for a quick survey. The place is probably within 10 city blocks square, not too terribly big, but quite dense and with pretty much everything you expect from the Chinatown. We had lunch in the Flushing Mall and enjoyed a very tyical Taiwanese style breakfast. We then took the sub back to the town for a trip to the Metropolitan Museum. I spent a lot of time in the Arms and Armor exhibition, so-callled "the gentlemen's jewerly". Some of these arms and armours are really work of art (the very reason they are in this museum), and I even saw a real GunBlade, similar to those in Final Fantasy 7, but quite a bit more elegent. We also drop by the Guggenhiem Museum, although I didn't see anything too interesting there. We watched the show Beauty and the Beast tonight, it was great and the stage is very impressive. They did a great job telling such a fantasy stories on a very small space-limited stage.
